So I'm not going through a very good time at the moment. That's probably reason enough for me to stop typing now although it's a good source of inspiration. My antibodies have broken down and it's like an infection of taboos and vices have broken me down by now.
Imagine there is a place, an Eden where you could do evil and not fear its repercussions. Earth is a place for me to play and create but if I was given a heaven, I would love to be able to get away with evil. I wish I could say everything to everyone and not pay for it later. Oh, I wish I could destroy buildings and crush spirits by the thousands. I wish I was a swarm of killer bees or a rumoured mountain lion that feasts on joggers. I'd crush their bones with my teeth and lick my paws with glee whilst planning to hit the local malls next. Buahahahahhahah!!! Or not. Malls are so accessible, they let just anyone in. Have you looked around shopping malls? People are ugly. Eww.
There is as much simple logic behind insanity as there is genius and it explains how Mr. Ice, The Joker and Two-Face came to be. They all tried to save the woman (or thing) they loved most. They all started off with the best intentions for science, family and justice and found themselves scorned and punished by them, which was what drove them to the edge. It's what drove them to not give a fuck anymore and to hate Batman because he started with everything and was delivered good intentions after the death of his family. It was not naturally imbued with him to have so much good faith, it was given to him the night his parents died. Mr Ice, The Joker and Two-Face started out as ordinary men who had good in them from the start but there was only so long that they could hold on.
It's not just that the hard drives disappeared cos it came back and I'll have a film after all... but I'm human. I get tired, that even took a lot out of me and I've found that what helps is having a few beers, slurring and making loud noises as women do, because GARBLE FEELS GREAT. That's the tricky thing about a broken heart. It can't always kill you but it can mess with how much oxygen travels to your brain. I guess I can't be as disappointed because everything's been put to restoration. I'm just really tired. Really really tired.
Okay I know there are people there who read me without telling me. I need your support. I know I sound like a crazy person. Maybe it's the weather and the stress but seriously, I need your support. I'm trying to raise awareness against Christopher Nolan.
Christopher Nolan has destroyed cinema, he's stripped Batman off his true meaning, of the romanticism in his being. I wish I could boycott Nolan but I love Batman and that loyalty is shredding me so I will detail in points why Nolan is unoriginal and a hazard to cinema as an art form:
- Doodlebug was the only interesting thing he did. It looked amateurish, he still had room for improvement then but to no avail. In fact, he got more boring.
- 'Insomnia' is based on a successful Norwegian film. It was bad. I clearly recall falling asleep at 'Insomnia' and this was before I ever knew who Nolan was.
- 'Memento'. I couldn't bring myself to watch even half of it. "What's more unoriginal than a linear storyline in chronological order? Doing it BACKWARDS!" Not. Plot: A man develops amnesia/short term memory and is determined to avenge whoever it was who brutally murdered his beautiful wife. Originial much. Robocop, anyone?
- 'The Prestige' - based on a novel. Nice art design, dead fish camera, no movement. No suspense. As a director, he has no presence. Anything interesting that happened was already in the script or plot. Any Hollywood director could have made it look the same way.
- Batman. He made it look realistic. You don't take a comic book genre and turn it into a realistic film, it takes away the romance of Batman which completely defeats the purpose of a comic book hero. People like me depend on Batman for romance, for inspiration. Batman is a symbol, you don't relate him to real life by making him realistic it just makes him look silly. And the tank? What about the Batmobile? Katie Holmes character is so out of place, so depressing and they couldn't even keep her, Maggie Gyllenhall is playing her character now. The casting is all wrong. Although Robin won't be in the coming movies (fair enough, it's the young Batman), Nolan joked about casting FRANKIE MUNIZ as Robin. Kate Beckinsale said she was interested in playing Catwoman please please please let that not be. She was in Pearl Harbour and Van Helsing for god's sake! Hollywood has swallowed Batman whole and it's killing me! How come Spiderman gets to look so much prettier? I prefer DC and Vertigo to Marvel, shouldn't they get the same respect?
I really don't see what the fuss is all about Nolan and it's driving me crazy! He has no relationship with the camera whatsoever and that's so wrong. It means a lot to me if someone actually shared the same opinion. Hollywood has always been Hollywood but now it's personal. Batman's the reason I am who I am now, that I like what I like now and it's not just me. It would just help to know I'm not alone. It's really bugging me because the movie premiers this year. For the love of comic books will someone please do something!!
